    Workshop organized by Asharqia chamber of commerce asserts the vitality of human resources to the Omani experience in purchase localization.
     
    The specialized workshop that was organized by asharqia chamber in collaboration with Accenture consulting, has morning of Wednesday, October 7th, 2015, has reviewed the highlights of the Omani experience  in the field of localization of purchases. The workshop, which was held in English and witnessed extensive exchanges between businessmen and women who attended the workshop. Said Al Sarhani, the In-Country Value Director (ICV) at Takatuf Oman and Kenan Nouwailati. Managing Director at Accenture has spoken during this workshop which had witnessed a large number of audience from businessmen and women. the speakers talked about the oman’s program of purchase localization, the nationalization strategy in the oil and gas sector, and the key indicators in bids, and the role of Takatuf in the localization process.


    The In-Country Value Director (ICV) at Takatuf Oman, Said Al Sarhani, said that this program is part of the Sultanate's program to improve sustainable employment opportunities for Omani nationals with greater integration of goods and services within the Omani acquisitions of local companies. He added that this program would contribute to the workforce in the Sultanate of Oman requirements, since Takatuf, which is the strategic supplier of innovative human capital development solutions, was established as a subsidiary of Oman Oil Company in 2013. It is considered as a platform to bridge the gap between industry and academia. Our goal is to build human capital, to meet the requirements of the Oman economy, which is growing and has human resource needs.
     He added that the Takatuf seeks to provide numerous training solutions, not only meet the requirements of the present, but we seek to meet the needs of the future, stressing that the Sultanate of Oman has huge potential has not been fully explored. For his part, Kenan Nouwailati. Managing Director at Accenture said that local content and proper knowledge policy paves the way for sustainable industrial development.
